As a nurse, my life is dedicated to care, but it's also incredibly demanding and emotionally exhausting. Like so many of us, I needed an escape. My Happily Ever After era began in 2016, not on the job, but on the page—after discovering authors like Julia Quinn and her Bridgerton series. I realized the romance genre is so much more than I knew; it’s a brilliant, diverse, and powerful space for joy, affirmation, and self-care. It became my refuge.

But here in Indianapolis, we’re missing a critical piece of the story. A genre that is unapologetically, wildly successful globally has no dedicated home in our city. You can help bring the bookshop to life!
